All-star teams are selected Dream Classic must turn profit, coach says.

Now that we know a high school all-star football game will be played again in Kansas City, it's time for the hard work to begin.
The first Metro Dream Classic is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. June 13 at Arrowhead Stadium, and it will feature some of the top players from Missouri and Kansas who live in and around the Kansas City area. The 45-man rosters for both squads were released Tuesday night when the Greater Kansas City Football Coaches Association met at Bishop Miege.
"You're going to hear this a lot," said Dick Purdy, Lawrence coach and president of the association. "If it's going to continue, we've got to show a profit. The association isn't in it for the profit part of it. What we want is the game, but the game won't happen unless it's a financial success. " Purdy said the Chiefs have donated use of Arrowhead Stadium but also have a requirement if the game is to stay there.
"We've got to get at least 10,000 in the game," Purdy said.
"That's what they need to meet their expenses. " Ticket profits will go to the association and a charity, the Dream Factory. The Chiefs receive revenue from parking and concessions. Tickets will be sold for $5 in advance and $7 at the game. Schools will be responsible for selling tickets, or they can be purchased through the Chiefs or the Dream Factory. They are scheduled to go on sale April 1.
